After a long journey we were greeted by the exceptional Ian with a warming sense of care. He went above and beyond to put our minds at ease and sorted everything out for us. So much so we actually mistakenly had a different hotel booked but due to Ian’s hospitality ended up staying at the Burlington anyway. Thank you Ian. From Chris and Darcy

Very disappointed. This was a birthday treat for my husband. When we eventually found the hotel under the scaffolding we were given a room which was where the scaffolding was and the windows taped up. It was very dark and dingy. I refused to stay in it, especially as I had paid a high price for it, 2 months before. I was told there were no other rooms available. However, when I paid even more for an upgrade on line, a room miraculous was found! Also with taped over windows, so dark and no fresh air. They should make people aware of the scaffolding situation and offer a reduction!!

I was here for a training course last weekend. Was a bit tricky to find hotel with scaffolding around at the moment. Very close to Birmingham new street train 🚆 station which is how we arrived. It’s a shame the staff were so noisy cluttering about with cups etc towards the end, in the kitchen behind the conference room, I couldn’t hear the trainer.

Stayed here while visiting friends. Great location in the city centre - very close to the train station and the main attractions. We paid a bit extra for a Deluxe Double room which was nice and big. Other benefits for this room were a huge bed, bathrobes and a Nespresso machine. Didn’t eat at the restaurant or have breakfast but would stay again for the great location.

Dated rooms and if you are situated opposite the station all you will hear is the tannoy, constantly! Very loud! DO NOT PAY FOR BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL.. ..... DREADFUL.... EAT LEAVE FOR BREAKFAST NEAR BY..... Nice to visit at Christmas and decorations are pleasant. Great location for the Christmas markets.
